With funding provided by the Governor's Crime Commission of North Carolina, Cathy B. Purvis was hired as CACNC's first Executive Director in October 2004. She brings to the position decades of experience in the field of child advocacy, including direct victim services and administration. For 20 years, she was employed by Family Service of Piedmont, and worked with the High Point community team to start "Hope House" which was the first Children's Advocacy Center in North Carolina to be accredited by the National Children's Alliance. She was instrumental in developing the CACNC Chapter, in its infancy, as a volunteer coalition.

Training Coordinator: Angie Brown
Angie Brown joined the staff of CACNC in July 2006 with funding provided by the Governor's Crime Commission of NC. Angie is a Licensed Professional Counselor and worked 10 years at Family Service of the Piedmont as the Employee Assistance Program Director and member of the Grants & Contracts team. In her current role, Angie is primarily responsible for coordinating state-wide training for child abuse professionals through our annual Reflections symposium and other training opportunities throughout the year.
