CACNC Announces New Executive Director

Children’s Advocacy Centers of North Carolina, Inc., announced today that Deana Joy has joined the organization to further develop its statewide mission. CACNC supports local communities in developing and maintaining children’s advocacy centers that meet the accreditation standards of the National Children’s Alliance, and supports North Carolina’s child abuse professionals by providing training to improve abilities and skills to better serve physically and sexually victimized children in North Carolina. Deana Joy comes with a wealth of experience within the field, having spent the last 13 years at CrossRoads: Sexual Assault Response & Resource Center where she worked in direct services to victims and later was promoted to Director.

Deana joins CACNC as Executive Director in order to continue the agency’s success in maintaining and growing accredited Children’s Advocacy Centers across the state. Deana comments “I am excited to start a new challenge within CACNC and look forward to utilizing my experience to support and further develop the state’s Children’s Advocacy Centers extensive and remarkable service provision to child abuse victims. I feel very fortunate to be joining such a respected agency that prides itself on ensuring the highest caliber of service provision to all child victims of abuse.”
